June Birchbox 2012

My June Birchbox was bit late getting to me because it was sent to my school, and then they forward it to my old house because I forgot to change the address. So that was my fault. I was very excited to open it because the packaging before you open the box gave away the theme. As I opened the box certain things grabbed my attention(in a good way).

This month, my box's theme was "Jet Set". It is meant to be items that last long through flights or adventures this summer. I really like this theme because it is very relevant for the time of the year.

Read the cards below for the actual description (:

Julietta Has A Gun | Not A Perfume: According to the little note it brought, this is a minimalist scent. It is made with a single element called Ambroxan. It is also allergen free. I think the idea of this is interesting. I like the scent but it is very light. You have to really get close to smell it. I wouldn't pay the pay price for what it is. I also think the name is very fitting, and a little weird at the same time because if you read the brand and the perfume's name, it sounds funny.
Full size: $85-$110

Melvita | Rose Floral Water: I'm really excited about this one! It is a face mist, that is supposed to be used to refresh your face while wearing makeup or if you just need a something to refresh your face in a hot summer day. I have heard so much about these sprays lately and I'm glad I received one because I doubt I would have gone out of my way to find a good one for me. I like the size of it because it seems like it's going to last for a while. It smells like it says, like roses. I can't wait to use it!
Full size: $22

stila | stay all day 10-in-1 hd beauty balm: A BB cream in Birchbox!? Yep. I'm glad they sent me this because I have been loving BB creams lately. I like that Birchbox keeps sending stila products because I haven't really used the brand before. The consistency is very thick and it's a tad light for my face right now. But since it blends out so well, it looks very natural on.
Full size: $38

theBalm cosmetics | Stainiac in Beauty Queen: This is a very cool product. I'm a big fan of stains. It's great for people as lazy as me that don't like to touch up makeup. It can be used as a tint for cheeks and lips. The color is very wearable and not as intimidating as the packaging shows because it goes on quite sheer.
Full size: $17

Lifestyle Extra
Modcloth | Headbands: This is the cutest thing I have probably received in my boxes. First, I would like to say I'm completely biased because I love Modcloth. They make the cutest outfits and pieces! My face lit up when I opened the box and saw the words Modcloth on it. They sent out blue or green deer headbands or a red with white polka dots (which I would have loved to get!). However, the deers are soo adorable and I'm glad I got the minty headband instead of the blue! :) The headband comes in a little bag and in the back it shows how to put it. What I specially love about it is that it had a wire under the fabric which means that it will stay the shape you leave it at. It doesn't slip if you don't want it to. I have been wearing this since I got it. How could I not?
1 headband: $14

A demonstration on how to put it with a no-makeup me :)

Overall Opinion: I'm so excited about every product in this box! If you didn't catch my excitement over the headband(which is an extra, which means that it is not part of the $10 which your box is worth), I'm very thrilled to have it. It's a great way to keep my hair out of my face this summer. I'm still loving the stila products that keep coming and I was happy to have a product from theBalm because I have heard greats things about this brand. The rose water is a product that I wanted to try and I'm glad they read my mind. As for the perfume, even though it is light, it has such a lovely floral scent. This my possibly be my favorite box to date.
